Description
The Sinfonieorchester der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg first performed this Orchestral Overture on 30 February 2017 under Guido Johannes Rumstadt.
The name Via Carolina refers to the medieval trade route via Carolina. It connected not only the two beautiful cities of Prague and Nuremberg, but also both countries. At that time, they were part of one political entity. The composition is a celebration of this belonging of two beautiful European cities, the history of which was closely intertwined especially during the time of Charles IV, and at the same time a celebration of today's European belonging.
