Description
Fast Track
for organ
Fast Track is in several versions. This was composed simultaneously with the original version for sheng and accordion.
The movement is repetitive and minimalistic, almost static with small changes that slowly amend the expression and character of the work. The musical material is based on a fast broken chord presented in the first few bars.
The broken chords are slowly transformed while descending, and tones are pulled out of the web and gradually becomes more independent of the fast repeating pattern from the beginning.
