Description
The arrangement is intended for two trumpets and three trombones (all instruments in Bb). Better still, an Fb or E-flat alto trombone is suitable for the middle of the five parts, although the F alto trombone can also be substituted by an F trumpet. In both tenor voices, tenor trumpets can be used instead of the tenor
tenor trumpets can be used instead of the tenor rests. For the bass part, tenor rests in Bb with a fourth valve are the most favorable instrumentation.
The use of a low bass instrument for the bass is strongly discouraged in almost all movements.
